NEW Caregiver Support Group 

 



Sponsored by the Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center and the department of Clinical Social Work, a new support group for care providers of City of Hope patients including spouses, adult children, significant others, friends and loved ones will begin in January. The group provides caregivers mutual support, comfort and education on issues related to actively caring for the cancer patient.

The group will also feature a Guest Speaker Series in which different topics related to caregiving will be addressed such as food and nutritional guidelines for cancer patients, relaxation techniques for caregivers and preparing the home for patient’s return.

The group will meet for 6 weeks on Wednesdays beginning January 9 from 6 to 7:30 pm in Support Group Room Y-9.
