City of Hope is excited to announce the start of ThinkCure, our new partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the McCourt Family and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

As the Dodgers' official charity, ThinkCure will raise funds for cancer research, increase cancer awareness in the community and give people new ways to join the fight for a cure.

"With ThinkCure, we are dedicated to raising the funds necessary to find a cure for cancer," said Frank McCourt, owner and chairman of the Dodgers. "ThinkCure will help provide the financial resources necessary for City of Hope and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles to develop the treatments and cures of tomorrow."

ThinkCure will accept donations online, at Dodger Stadium and at events throughout the year.

The partnership was unveiled at a Dodgers home game in late July. The famous "Think Blue" sign on the hillside north of Dodger Stadium was replaced for the home stand against rivals San Francisco Giants with one reading "ThinkCure."

The national anthem was sung by former "American Idol" contestant Sherman Pore, who lost his wife to ovarian cancer just two days before auditioning for the program. Proceeds from the sale of his new CD "For My Lady Love" will benefit City of Hope.

Dodger Stadium is Just the Start

City of Hope and CHLA doctors, Nomar Garciaparra (Dodgers third baseman) and patients at the launch of ThinkCure, Dodger Stadium.

Researchers from the two cancer centers have teamed up to better understand and treat brain tumors, leukemia and other cancers. We are also working together on clinical trials of new immune therapies.

With your help, even more exciting work can be done in the future. Immunotherapy, T-cell therapy and other areas of research and treatment can be explored by the ThinkCure alliance.
