LOS ANGELES, May 16, 2008--Hilton HHonors, the award-winning hotel guest reward program for the Hilton Family of Hotels, is upgrading its sponsorship role in City of Hope’s Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer, a national series of walks that support breast cancer programs at City of Hope, a leading biomedical research and treatment center. This year, instead of being awarded with traditional event-branded merchandise, Walk for Hope participants will be awarded with Hilton HHonors points and complimentary nights if they reach designated fundraising goals. Participants can redeem their HHonors points for free stays at Hilton Family hotels, merchandise in the Hilton HHonors Rewards Store or any other reward offered by Hilton HHonors. The more money each participant raises, the more Hilton HHonors points they are eligible to earn, up to 7,000 HHonors points per account. By awarding HHonors points to Walk for Hope participants, City of Hope estimates that this incentive program will cut its event expenses by over $40,000.

In addition to the tiered incentive levels for those who raise money, the top individual fundraiser and top team captain at each Walk for Hope site will also receive a complimentary two-night stay at a participating Hilton Family hotel. On a national level, the grand prize for the overall 2008 top fundraiser and top fundraising team captain will be a complimentary five-night stay at a participating Hilton Family hotel and airfare for two provided by Delta Air Lines.

Walk for Hope events are being held in nine cities across the country, including a successful event in San Diego on May 3 and future events in Edison, N.J. on June 8; Philadelphia on September 28; San Francisco on October 4; in Seattle, Phoenix and Chicago on October 5; Washington, D.C. on October 12; and Los Angeles on November 9.
