LOS ANGELES, October 13, 2008 – OneRepublic, the widely popular rock band whose debut album “Dreaming Out Loud” has sold in excess of 1.6 million copies and 8 million singles worldwide, is kicking off their upcoming national tour “Tag This Tour!” 2008 with an exclusive auction benefiting City of Hope, a leading cancer research, treatment and education center.

Nominated as “Best New Act” by the European Music Awards, OneRepublic will donate “Tag This Tour!” 2008 memorabilia to be auctioned, including a one-hour song-writing lesson with Ryan Tedder, the lead singer, guitarist and pianist, who has written and produced for top artists such as Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, James Morrison, Jennifer Lopez, Natasha Bedingfield and Leona Lewis, and an autographed lyric sheet of one of Tedder’s hit songs.  From October 14 to 24, fans can participate in the auction online at www.charityfolks.com/onerepublic and UMG’s eBay store. “Tag This Tour!” 2008 will travel nationwide October 23 thru December 7, 2008.

OneRepublic also will provide the following items for City of Hope’s auction: an exclusive “Tag This Tour!” 2008 T-shirt; a set of four tickets for each concert; four backstage passes; their debut album, “Dreaming Out Loud”; a Kawai Digital Grand Piano valued at $25,000; a Gretsch drum set and drum lesson with OneRepublic’s drummer Eddie Fisher; and a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar with a free lesson from OneRepublic’s guitarist Drew Brown. OneRepublic’s “Tag This Tour!” 2008 and auction will be promoted on Premiere Radio Networks’ “American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest,” Clear Channel Online, AP Radio, USA Today and KIIS-FM in Los Angeles.

"Everyone is affected by cancer on some level,” said OneRepublic lead singer Ryan Tedder. “We've had a great year, and we appreciated a chance to give back to such an important cause."

“OneRepublic represents a new generation of music artists who are joining the fight against diseases like cancer that take too many lives too soon,” said Alissa Pollack, senior vice president of Music Initiatives, MediaBase/Premiere Radio. “This auction will allow the band’s fans to bid on a range of items while making a meaningful contribution to the lifesaving research and treatment programs at City of Hope.”

“We are deeply grateful for OneRepublic’s enthusiasm and support in helping to raise awareness for cancer and other life-threatening diseases,” said Steve Martin, associate vice president of marketing at City of Hope.  “Their efforts will directly impact the lives of patients at City of Hope by helping to improve their and future patients’ medical treatment.”
