Biography

Walter Chang, M.D. received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego.  He completed his medical school education at the New York Medical College and went on to complete an Internal Medicine internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York.  Dr. Chang then completed his Anesthesiology residency at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City where he also served as Chief Resident. 

After residency, Dr. Chang joined City of Hope as a staff anesthesiologist.  Dr. Chang became a borard certified Diplomate of Anesthesiology in 2006.  He is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, California Medical Association and Los Angeles County Medical Association.
