Carin Espenschied is a board-certified genetic counselor specializing in cancer genetics. She has a Master's degree in genetic counseling from Cal State Northridge and a Bachelor's degree in biology from Pepperdine University. Her research interests include hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes and hereditary pediatric cancer syndromes. She is currently involved with research pertaining to ovarian cancer in BRCA carriers and those with Lynch syndrome, and is also involved with the development of a pediatric cancer genetics program. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and the Collaborative Group of the Americas on Inherited Colorectal Cancer.
