Wei Feng, M.D., Clinical Assistant Professor, is a board certified endocrinologist with expertise in many areas such as diabetes, thyroid, pituitary, osteoporosis, PCOS, obesity, lipid disorder, and adrenal disease.
She has been a staff physician at the Department of Clinical Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at City of Hope since 1998. Born in China, Dr. Feng obtained her medical degree at University of Heidelberg in West Germany in 1987. After completing residency training in internal medicine at University of Memphis in Tennessee, she sought endocrine fellowship training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
She has diverse clinical experience being hospitalist for a year in 1992 after completing residency training at Memphis Regional Medical Center and a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine at USC between 1995 and 1998.
Dr. Feng entered private endocrine practice in year of 2005 in Pasadena while maintaining a part-time position at City of Hope. Now she devotes all her time to the practice of endocrinology at the South Pasadena Cancer Center, which is fully affiliated with the Department of Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology at the City of Hope.
Dr. Feng has been a principal investigator for several clinical trials involving long term studies of intervention for high-risk diabetic patients to prevent cardiovascular events, treatment for diabetic peripheral neuropathy, islet cell transplant program, and new treatment options for type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
