Jae Y. Kim, M.D., joined the Department of Surgery in August 2011. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and then graduated with his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Kim completed his residency in general surgery at UCSF, as well as completing a research fellowship in thoracic oncology at the UCSF Cancer Research Center. He completed a fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center and received the UCSF Department of Surgery Nusz Achievement Award, chosen by faculty for the Outstanding Chief Resident (2009).
