Arnold J. Rotter, M.D., is one of City of Hope’s leading experts in computed tomography (CT), body imaging, mammography and other forms of diagnostic imaging. As head of the Computed Tomography Section within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Dr. Rotter oversees the application of these novel technologies for the detection of lung, breast and other cancers.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Rotter is also currently engaged in a major clinical trial, overseeing City of Hope’s participation in the International Early Lung Cancer Action Project (I-ELCAP). This multi-institutional project is testing the effectiveness of a new method of computer imaging in screening for lung cancer.
Dr. Rotter also serves as a clinical assistant professor of Cross-Sectional Imaging at the University of Southern California (USC) – Los Angeles County Medical Center. He completed his fellowship training in ultrasound and CT at USC in 1983. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and performed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Rotter is a member of the Los Angeles Radiological Society and the Radiological Society of North America, and a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology.
