 Biography

F. Lennie Wong, Ph.D. is a Biostatistician and an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Population Sciences with joint appointment in the Department of Information Sciences. Her expertise is in the analysis of longitudinal and cohort data. Her research interests lie in the application of statistical methods to epidemiologic studies, in examining the relationships between exposure factors and outcomes in longitudinal and cohort settings, in terms of disease occurrences and longitudinal measurement data.

Before joining the Department, she spent several years researching the late effects of exposure to ionizing radiation on the development of non-cancer diseases and on temporal trends of longitudinal biologic data in the Japanese Atomic-bomb survivors. Currently, she is examining the longitudinal trends of sexual dysfunction measures of quality of life in patients who underwent hematopoietic cell transplantations at City of Hope.

Dr. Wong also provides consultations to Department researchers on study design, sampling and analysis plans, and power and sample size calculation.
