Each year, over 250,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with some form of gastrointestinal cancer. Many of these cancers are too complex or difficult to be treated with just one approach. That’s why the Gastrointestinal Cancer Program at City of Hope employs multidisciplinary strategies for dealing with abnormalities of the digestive system, specifically the esophagus, stomach, liver, biliary tract, pancreas, colon, rectum and anus.
