Photo of Jeff RiemerJeff Riemer is Executive Vice President and Principal-in-Charge of Bovis Lend Lease in Chicago. In that capacity, he leads a group of 250 construction professionals that have transformed Chicago’s skyline and habitat.

Jeff grew up in Milwaukee, where his family managed steel construction. He earned his civil engineering degree from Northwestern University, where he currently serves on advisory boards for both the Master of Project Management and Architectural Design and Engineering programs. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago, and is proud that his daughter, Emily, is currently in graduate school at UC.

He has had the privilege of working on a diverse and exciting portfolio of projects, ranging from huge skyscrapers like the Trump International Hotel and Tower, to small but important facilities such as the SOS Children’s Village Community Center in the Auburn/Gresham neighborhood of Chicago. Along the way, he has helped build 353 N. Clark, Hyatt Center, and Smurfit-Stone Office Towers; 340 on the Park, One Museum Park, Vetro, Winthrop Club residential towers, senior living homes in Schaumburg, LaGrange Park and on Rush Street; educational facilities at Northwestern University, University of Chicago and University of Cincinnati; and about two dozen K-12 schools.

While Jeff’s roots are deeply Midwestern, he has spent six years overseas for Bovis Lend Lease, leading international construction projects in the UK. His international experience includes the Broadgate Development in London, planning the expansion of Heathrow Airport, and supporting the company’s growth in Japan, Taiwan and China. (Macau).

Jeff is committed to his family and community. He cheers on his wife, Melissa, who is a respected commercial actress in Chicago, and his daughters Emily and Katherine. In addition to City of Hope, where he has been a member of the Construction and Real Estate Council for four years, Jeff is a Board Member of Thresholds Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centers, SOS Children’s Villages of Illinois, a Construction Industry Executive Committee Member for the Chicago Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is active in safety and green building initiatives in and out of Bovis. Jeff is known by his many friends and colleagues as a man of quiet confidence, deep rooted values and a booming laugh. He also rides a mean bicycle for a guy past middle-age.
