A pioneer of the denim industry, Gerard Guez currently serves as Chairman of Sunrise Brands and its affiliated companies. Mr. Guez brings an extensive industry network and is actively involved in Sunrise's licensing and distribution activities. Prior to Sunrise, he founded one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, Tarrant Apparel Group (formerly: TAGS) in 1988 and served as its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Guez also founded Tarrant Company Limited (TCL), the Company's Hong Kong subsidiary, in 1985.

Gerard launched his industry career founding Sasson Jeans with his brothers in the early 1980s. As President of Sasson Jeans, L.A., Inc., the manufacturer and distributor of denim apparel under the "Sasson" license, he established an unparalleled expertise in denim design, manufacturing and marketing. Under his guidance, Sunrise subsidiaries have translated premium denim heritage to mass markets with labels such as NO! Jeans, JAG, American Rag Cie and ReRock.

Well known for his keen financial sensibility, Mr. Guez actively invests in related fashion companies. Outside of the apparel industry, Gerard co-founded the Buddha Bar, the global hospitality and lifestyle brand.
