Led by a group of dedicated industry and community leaders, the Los Angeles Real Estate and Construction Industries (LARE) Council is motivated by a commitment to support innovative research and compassionate patient care at City of Hope.  LARE is comprised of executives from all aspects of the industry – construction, development, finance, insurance, legal, management, parking and more.

These leaders have a long and distinguished history of support for City of Hope’s mission dating back to the early 1960s.  Since 1996, a newly revitalized Council has raised nearly $20 million to benefit groundbreaking research at City of Hope. The annual Spirit of Life® celebration held each fall is the center of the LARE fundraising initiative, providing the industry with an opportunity to celebrate important work they’ve done in the fight against cancer and diabetes.

LARE is growing their efforts through expanding community outreach activities including blood drives and engaging the next generation of leaders via Building Hope – LARE’s strategic initiative for up-and-coming professionals in the industry. The efforts of LARE and Building Hope provide a unique platform for competitors and colleagues alike to network, have fun and support a great cause.
