The MEI Comedy Roast gathers leaders from the Music and Entertainment Industry to pay tribute to an honored City of Hope supporter. The event has featured roasters such as legendary executive Clive Davis and recording artists John Mellencamp and Fat Joe. In the first three years, the event has raised more than $1.3 million for City of Hope.
This year’s event was held December 9th, 2010, at the Frederick P. Rose Hall Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway at 60th Street in New York. The guest of honor was Stephen Hill, President of Music and Specials at BET Networks.
“The complete bludgeoning of my ego during this roast is absolutely worth it for the support and attention that will be brought to City of Hope’s efforts.” – Stephen Hill
