The Annual MEI Comedy Roast is a Music and Entertainment Industry evening honoring a music industry executive who has shown a significant commitment to humanitarian causes.
The laughs flow fast when featured roasters, such as legendary executive Clive Davis and recording artists Sean P. Diddy, John Mellencamp, Nick Cannon and Fat Joe step up to the microphone. Past honorees include Allen Grubman (Partner Grubman, Indursky and Shire), Jason Flom (Chairman and CEO Capital Music Group), Richard Palmese, and Stephen Hill (President of Programming, BET).
This year’s Roast is chaired by Richard Palmese (CEO Palmese Entertainment/Azoff Music), Peter Gray (SVP Promotion, Warner Bros. Records) and Joel Klaiman (EVP Promotion & Artist Development, Universal Republic) and will honor John Ivey, SVP Programming, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. In four years, the event has raised more than $1.5 million for City of Hope.
The event will be held on November 7, 2012, at House of Blues West Hollywood.
