City of Hope is moving into an extraordinary future of discovery, and the National Home Furnishings Industry is playing a pivotal role in that future. Most recently, Michael Amini, chairman and chief executive officer of Amini Innovation Corp., made a $6 million gift to City of Hope Cancer to establish The Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center. The center, which opened on April 6, 2009, will house all components of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, consolidating City of Hope’s blood collection and processing programs and providing a modern, comfortable environment for patients, donors and staff.
