Disney Music Group/Buena Vista Concerts
Disney Music and Miley Cyrus, the multiplatinum singer and star of Disney Channel’s hit show “Hannah Montana,” donated $1 from every ticket purchased at Cyrus’ sold-out 2007-08 “Best of Both Worlds” concert tour. The campaign raised $1 million for City of Hope. In June 2007, Cyrus surprised nearly 2,000 of City of Hope’s youngest cancer patients, survivors, their families and caregivers at City of Hope’s 10th Annual Pediatric Picnic, an event commemorating National Cancer Survivors Day.

Mead Westvaco
Notebook, calendar, planner and stationery brand Mead joined the fight against breast cancer in 2008 by donating at least $50,000 and providing breast cancer awareness information on select specially marked notebook and planner items during Mother’s Day and similar awareness promotions that will continue throughout the year.

Newell-Rubbermaid's Pink @ Work Initiative
Newell-Rubbermaid brands have committed to combat breast cancer with the goal of collectively donating about $350,000 in 2008 through a round-up of the following specially marked pink ribbon themed programs called “Pink @ Work.”

    Beginning January 15, 2008, and continuing throughout the year, Sharpie is donating 10¢ from every purchase of specially labeled pink permanent marker packs to City of Hope for breast cancer research, treatment and education.

    From February 15, 2008 through December 31, 2008, Liquid Paper will donate 20¢ from every purchase of specially marked DryLine grip packs to City of Hope for breast cancer research, treatment and education.

    In 2008, EXPO brand will donate 20¢ from the purchase of special pink ribbon Dry Erase Marker packs to City of Hope for breast cancer research, treatment and education.
Papermate Logo
  • Paper Mate
    Paper Mate is supporting City of Hope in 2008 by offering a special edition pink ribbon FlexGrip Elite pen that yields 10¢ for breast cancer research, education and treatment. Also, as part of their “Write for Hope” initiative, consumers are encouraged to go online and enter to win a $500 donation in their name to City of Hope.

    The Parker Jotter brand has created a special edition pink pen. For each pink ribbon pen sold in 2008, Parker will donate 25¢ to City of Hope for breast cancer research, treatment and education.

    Since 2007, Rolodex has donated $10,000 per calendar year in support of breast cancer research, treatment and education at City of Hope and has displayed awareness for the cause in point-of-sale materials for their pink address book items.  Rolodex has pledged to do so in 2008 as well.

United Stationers 
Through their Innovera line, office products distributor United Stationers is donating $5 from every purchase of a special edition pink ribbon, Swarovski crystal-encrusted computer mouse to benefit breast cancer research, treatment and education at City of Hope starting July 1, 2008.

Rock & Republic/Rock the Cure Foundation
In 2007, Rock & Republic launched a philanthropic foundation called Rock the Cure. From June 2007 through October 2009, the foundation is designating 100 percent of the profits from Rock & Republic’s specially marked line of high-end denim, shirts and accessories for men and women to benefit City of Hope. Profits range from 50 to 90 percent of the purchase price of each item.

Southern California Albertsons and Kellogg’s Special K
As part of the Spring “Special K Challenge”, from April 16 through April 29, 2008, Southern California Albertsons donated 25¢ from the purchase of any Special K branded product (cereal, snack bars, protein bars, protein water, protein powder mix, frozen waffles) to City of Hope and raised $25,000.

Post-it Super Sticky Notes
Post-it Super Sticky Notes imprinted with a pink ribbon yield donations of 50¢ from every specially marked three-pack and 20¢ from every specially marked single-pack to support breast cancer research, treatment and education at City of Hope. Since its inception in 2004, this program has raised close to $1 million.

Staples
Since 2006, Staples’ “Give. Hope.” campaign has raised over $1 million for City of Hope. Staples customers who donated $1 or more through July 15, 2008, received a scratch card coupon redeemable during their next visit.  The program will kick off again in September 2008.

Sutter Home Wines
In 2007, Sutter Home Winery and Blue Competition Cycles, sponsors of the Colavita/Sutter Home Women’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light, teamed up to support breast cancer research, treatment and education at City of Hope. In addition to supplying bicycles to the Colavita/Sutter Home Cycling Teams, Blue produced a specially designed pink model for U.S. National Criterium Champion Tina Pic to ride throughout the 2007 season. For every mile that Pic raced, Sutter Home Winery donated $1 to City of Hope and an additional $1,000 for every race she won.

The Pink Bike promotion was an extension of Sutter Home Winery’s Capsules for Hope program, in which consumers returned specially marked tops of Sutter Home wines. For every seal received, Sutter Home donated $1 to City of Hope. Co-title sponsor Colavita USA also partnered in the Capsules for Hope campaign and donated $1 per olive oil capsule submitted.

In late August 2007, Sutter Home partnered with the Angels of Anaheim. Fans were encouraged to support City of Hope by submitting their wine capsules on-site during a sponsored day at the stadium. Breast cancer survivors were honored on the field during the pregame festivities.

Variations on this promotion continue through 2008.

Brown-Forman
In 2007, Brown-Forman Corporation, one of the largest American-owned companies in the wine and spirits business, conducted a customer holiday rebate promotion in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington. Participating brands included Southern Comfort, Finlandia Vodka, Chambord Liqueur, KORBEL California Champagne, Fetzer and Bolla Wines, Canadian Mist and Early Times.

In addition to a flat donation of $50,000, Brown-Forman donated $10 for every completed mail-in rebate form it received from its customers during the promotion.

Office Depot
Since 2003, Office Depot has supported City of Hope with a holiday card program. Consumers have purchased holiday cards online with 5 percent of the wholesale costs of the cards benefitting City of Hope.

Brita
Brita is making a $50,000 flat donation to support breast cancer research, treatment and education at City of Hope with a special pink ribbon-themed water pitcher.  The specially-marked pitchers are available at Target and Target.com from September through October 2008.

Lather
Skin and body care company LATHER and One Life to Live star Andrea Evans have teamed to create the “Soap for Hope” collection. Through September 2010, LATHER will donate $5 from the sale of each Sandalwood Rose Soap and $12 from the sale of each “Soap for Hope” Gift Set to City of Hope  to support breast cancer research, treatment and education.

Throughout October 2008, Living Spaces Furniture will donate $50 with the purchase of every premium mattress set totaling $1000 or more and $25 with the purchase of every mattress set totaling $700- $999 to support breast cancer research, treatment and education programs at City of Hope.
