Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)


Can I register the day of the Hike? 
Absolutely – if registering the day of the hike, please allow 45 minutes for registration.

What should I wear?
Proper apparel based on weather conditions ie, raingear, windbreaker, hat, etc.  Wear hiking boots if at all possible – tennis shoes are not recommended.   Also, it’s a good idea to bring a first aid kit and sunscreen.

Is there food at the event?
Healthy snacks and soft drinks will be offered after your hike.  Eat breakfast prior to coming to the hike, pack a trail snack. 

Will there be restrooms at the event? 
Yes, portable restrooms will be available at the registration and celebration sites.

How will I know where my hike begins? 
Once you have checked in at registration, you will be directed to the Hike Leader table where groups will be formed for each hike.  If you are part of a team, please arrive at the Hike Leader table together to help ensure that you are all on the same hike.  Each hike will have a Leader and a Sweep.  You will not be sent off on your own. 

Can I hike with my pet?
Sorry, pets are not allowed in the Indian Canyons.
