On Saturday, November 14th, 2009, HopeCuts’ long celebrated profession hair competition takes place in Philadelphia. This year’s competition is SophistiCats – Uptight, Uptown, Updos. Awards and prizes will be given to the best of the best in seven different categories, including the coveted Best in Show.

During SophistiCats the 3rd Annual Master Stylist Competition will take place. The select finalists in the Master Stylist Competition will be showing their best cut, color and styling work during SophistiCats with the aspiration of being crowned winner. The winner will receive an award, prizes and will appear in American Salon magazine.

This year’s festivities are being held in the Phoenix Building at 1600 Arch Street in Center City Philadelphia. The VIP Party starts at 7 p.m. and is being hosted in the Phoenix by Tir na nog Restaurant. The doors open to the public at 8 p.m. Please be sure to enter the Phoenix on the 16th Street entrance.
