Santa Monica, CA - The 10th anniversary Songs of Hope charity event benefiting City of Hope enjoyed another year of remarkable success, bringing together hundreds of celebrities and music industry professionals in support of City of Hope's lifesaving research on cancer, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases. Throughout its ten-year history, Songs of Hope has raised over $3,000,000 for City of Hope’s research. Attendees of this year’s June 4th event included Clive Davis, Dr. Luke, Colbie Caillat, Brian Tyler, Jimmy Jam, Lil Jon, JoJo, Avery Wilson, Matt Sorum of Guns N Roses, Sean Garrett as well as many of the music industry’s most influential executives. Held at the exclusive House of Fair (home of legendary music executive and producer Ron Fair) in Santa Monica, Songs of Hope X was emceed by Jimmy Jam of the legendary songwriting and production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and included intimate performances by Caillat and Wilson as well as a silent auction featuring rare and one-of-a-kind music and film experiences and autographed items.
“What a wonderful milestone to see Songs of Hope celebrate 10 years of success as an event that brings together the songwriter, publisher and music community, and that has raised nearly $3 million supporting the lifesaving work of City of Hope,” said David Renzer, chairman, Spirit Music Group and co-event chair of Songs of Hope X. “I’m so honored to have founded the event and so proud of my co-chairs, Evan Lamberg and Doug Davis for all of their great work.”

Virtuosic producer Dr. Luke, who’s credited with writing multiple No. 1 hits for artists such as Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, received the prestigious Clive Davis “Legend in Songwriting” Award at the event. Brian Tyler, the film music composer of “Iron Man 3,” “Thor: The Dark World,” and “Fast Five”, received the Electronic Arts Composer Award. In addition to her performance, Colbie Callait was honored with the Songs of Hope 10 Contemporary Songwriter Award. The event also featured a special salute to ASCAP in honor of the organization’s 100th Anniversary, which came with support from Los Angeles Magazine.
