Steve Sakumoto is Vice President and General Manager of HP’s U.S. Supplies Sales Organization. In this position, Steve is responsible for all field sales operations for HP’s supplies sales in the U.S. including office product superstores, general retail accounts, commercial distribution, independent resellers/VARs, and corporate account sales. Revenues for his organization exceed $5B in annual shipments.
Prior to his current position, Steve was Vice President, Partner Sales for OPSS & Consumer Distribution/Regional Retail Sales Organization in HP’s U.S. Consumer Sales Organization. In this position, Steve was responsible for all field sales operations for, office product superstores, regional retail accounts and consumer distribution accounts in the U.S. His responsibilities cover all of HP's reseller product categories such as supplies, printers, PCs, notebooks, and related services. Revenues for his organization exceed $5B in annual shipments. He has also held various sales, marketing, and product management positions in HP prior to those positions, and has 34 years’ experience with HP.
Steve graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a Masters degree in business administration. He resides in San Diego, CA, with his wife and three children, and works out of HP’s San Diego site in the Rancho Bernardo suburb of San Diego.
