 Patient and Community Education

Every day new research furthers our understanding of cancer and other diseases that impact the lives of people everywhere. With each scientific and medical breakthrough comes greater insight into treatment and prevention.

We believe that education is critical to improving the health and well-being of our patients and the public at large. Through seminars, literature and more, our community outreach helps people make better decisions about their health.

Ask the Experts Community Education Series
City of Hope’s free Ask the Experts series features our leading scientists and physicians as they discuss a different health topic during presentations scheduled throughout the year. Click here for a listing of upcoming events.

Center of Community Alliance for Research and Education (CCARE)
CCARE is a powerful partnership between City of Hope researchers and educators and key representatives of the community. Through a vibrant cross-pollination of ideas, we seek to eliminate healthcare disparities in underserved (and often overlooked) patient populations, empower patients by making them informed and active participants in their own health and well-being, and offer the most innovative and advanced treatments available, setting a new standard of care.
