City of Hope’s staff compiled the following list of additional resources many of our physicians and patients have found helpful.  These resources are for patients undergoing or considering HCT, dealing with cancer in general, and their families and caregivers.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: Serves as an excellent resource for patients being treated for these diseases.

National Marrow Donor Program: Provides information for patients undergoing bone marrow or stem cell research.

Cancer Survival Toolbox:  The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship provides this tool to help you find ways to meet the challenges of your diseases.

Blood and Marrow Transplant Information Network (BMTInfonet): Provides information and support to transplant patients and their loved ones.

The book, "A Patient's Guide to Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplantation at City of Hope" was developed as a resource to help City of Hope patients and their families learn about blood and marrow hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and what to expect before, during and after transplant at City of Hope.

Taking Time: Support for People with Cancer and the People Who Care About Them: This National Cancer Institute publication addresses the feelings and concerns people often experience after being diagnosed with cancer, and suggests ways of coping with them.

NCI's Support and Resources Web Page: Provides links to information about cancer support organizations, finances and insurance, hospice and home care, and support for children with cancer.

Advanced Directives: This NCI fact sheet provides patients with an outline for thinking about end-of-life care issues and provides some guidelines for discussion with doctors, families and loved ones.

Coping with Advanced Cancer: This NCI publication addresses living with a terminal illness. It includes practical considerations for the patient, family and friends.
