About Bile Duct Cancer
Extrahepatic bile duct cancer, a rare cancer, is a disease in which cancer (malignant) cells are found in the tissues of the extrahepatic bile duct. The bile duct is a tube that connects the liver and the gallbladder to the small intestine.
Bile Duct Cancer Symptoms
Possible signs of extrahepatic bile duct cancer include jaundice and pain.
These and other symptoms may be caused by extrahepatic bile duct cancer or by other conditions. A doctor should be consulted if any of the following problems occur:
  • Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes).
  • Pain in the abdomen. 
  • Fever. 
  • Itchy skin.
