 Overview

Each year the City of Hope Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism holds an annual diabetes and obesity symposium in memory of the late Dr. Rachmiel Levine, the scientist responsible for clarifying the nature of insulin action.

The 13th Annual Rachmiel Levine Symposium, entitled "Advances in Diabetes Research", will be held March 13-16, 2013 at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California.  The meeting will cover type 1 and type 2 diabetes.  Also highlighted will be results of recent diabetes clinical trials, debate sessions, a poster session, and a keynote dinner lectureship.

Desired Results
At the end of this activity learners will be better able to 1) identify up-to-date research and applications in diabetes, which will be applicable to both laboratory studies and patient care practices, as well as the enhancement of future funding opportunities and 2) identify patients at risk for diabetes and understand how to manage.

Special Assistance
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, all reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate persons with disabilities at the meeting.  If you have any special dietary or accommodation needs, please notify the program coordinator, at levinesymposium@coh.org, prior to the conference. It is important to notify us in advance of your special needs to help us better serve you.
