Making A Life-Saving Gift Of Blood And Platelets

Join a donation program that helps others in literally thousands of ways. That’s because patients at City of Hope, most of them fighting cancer, rely for their very survival on donations of 37,000 units of blood and platelets each year.

Every one of those units comes from somebody like you who, a person wanting to make a difference.

At City of Hope, we make it simple for you to share this life-saving gift. It’s why we created the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center, now a recognized leader in apheresis, donor matching and marrow transplants.

Located at the Duarte campus, this LEED-certified facility is one of the largest hospital-based donor centers in the country. Here, in a safe and caring environment, families, friends and generous members of the community donate vital blood and platelets.
