Robert Morgan, M.D., is a renowned medical oncologist who has published numerous papers on chemotherapy and targeted therapy drugs to treat gynecological cancers. Dr. Morgan’s research focuses on improving drug therapy for better outcomes among gynecological cancer patients and improving their quality of life during and after treatment.

Dr. Morgan is a pioneer in the use of intraperitoneal chemotherapy, which administers cancer-killing drugs directly in the abdominal cavity. This allows the drugs to better target cancer cells by giving them more direct contact with tumor sites, improving its effectiveness compared to standard chemotherapy administered orally or through the bloodstream.

Dr. Morgan received his medical degree at the University of Perugia in Italy. He then completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic’s graduate school of medicine, followed by fellowships at the Mayo Clinic and City of Hope.
