“It's not just the patient. They've got siblings. They've got parents, aunts, uncles, all there to make sure the child gets the best care. It's one of our greatest challenges and the greatest reward.”

A key member of the City of Hope team for 20 years, Judith Sato, M.D. works hard to involve the entire family when a loved one ... especially a child ... is treated for cancer.

A graduate of Stanford University, Dr. Sato received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed internship, residency and fellowships at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She spent nearly a decade as Director of the Bone and Extremity Tumor Program at Children's Hospital, before coming to City of Hope.
