City of Hope researchers have made numerous landmark contributions to the fight against diabetes. These breakthroughs constitute the foundation upon which today’s scientists and physicians build, as they urgently push for new insights and advances. The Gonda Center Expansion represents one more step in continuing City of Hope’s pioneering legacy.
The new Leslie & Susan Gonda (Goldschmied) Diabetes & Genetic Research Center Expansion Facility will double laboratory space for investigations into diabetes and other serious metabolic diseases. The four-story, 41,000-square-foot expansion provides urgently needed laboratory space to support promising basic and clinical investigations. Thanks to a leadership gift from the Leslie and Susan Gonda (Goldschmied) Foundation, this project broke ground in June 2009. It is slated for completion in late 2010.
