 Abstract for Grants

The DNA Cloning Lab is located in Rosenkranz Room #6 and occupies 600 square feet of space.  The lab stocks a large selection of restriction enzymes, DNA and RNA modification enzymes, host cell lines, kits, cloning and expression vectors, competent cells, molecular weight markers, and other chemicals and reagents.  Large or small quantities are available.  Freezer programs from New England BioLabs®, Promega, and USB are in place with discounts for investigators.

Many items can be ordered with overnight delivery, depending upon the vendor.

Equipment and instrumentation in the lab are available to investigators.  Equipment includes centrifuges (preparative and analytical), spectrophotometers, electrophoresis equipment, microtiter plate reader, and a large-capacity shaking incubator.

 Shared Resources

City of Hope and Beckman Research Institute have developed Shared Resources where a perceived need exists for specialized equipment, services, or expert consultation. Shared Resources with specialized instrumentation, and the expertise to apply these resources to research, have become increasingly important in recent years. Many of City of Hope's research support services are funded by the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG).
