 Quantitative DNA Methylation Analysis

The MassARRAY system is ideal for the discrimination between methylated and non-methylated samples (CpG).  MassARRAY EpiTYPER precisely measures DNA methylation using bisulfite treatment, MassCLEAVE chemistry and MALDI-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry.

Highlights include:

  • Ideal for investigating a few or several hundred regions over multiple samples
  • Cover multiple CpGs per amplicon - 200 to 600 bp
  • Interrogates any unique area that can be PCR amplified.
  • Automated data analysis is given as a table and image.
  • Each amplicon assay will include a 0_pct, 33_pct, 67_pct, and 100_pct methylated controls for normalizing data.
  • Quantitative methylation ratios from 95% to 5% with less that 5% CV
In addition, Sequenom has developed and released a pre-designed Cancer EpiPanel, for research use only, which offers rapid and quantitative methylation profiling of 41 commonly analyzed genes.

A brief description of the protocol can be found in the Quantitative DNA Methylation Brochure.
