The Synthetic and Biopolymer Chemistry Core facility is currently housed in two separate buildings. The original biopolymer synthesis lab is located in Building 152 on the main City of Hope campus and occupies approximately 1,700 square feet of lab space. The new organic synthesis lab is located in the renovated Flower Building, which is less than five minutes from the main City of Hope campus and occupies approximately 1,000 square feet of lab space. All major instrumentation (e.g., NMR, MS, UV, & IR) for small molecule structural characterization is housed in the organic synthesis laboratory in the Flower Building, thus allowing for the efficient execution and daily operation of reaction chemistry, purification, and structural characterization.
