The Translational Research Laboratory (TRL) at City of Hope is under the direct supervision of Yen Yun, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Director for Translational Research, City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center and Director of the Division of Clinical and Molecular Pharmacology. TRL research includes pre-clinical studies on experimental drug therapies and post-clinical analyses on patient samples from clinical trials. We also conduct basic research on clinical samples, including: protein and nucleic acid isolation, and purification, quantitative gene expression analysis by real-time RT-PCR assays, Western blot, and other laboratory assays.
Expansion of the TRL will include the repository Blood Procurement for Research, which will provide samples for multiple research projects.
