A non-disclosure agreement (NDA), also known as a confidentiality agreement or confidential disclosure agreement (CDA) is a contract where parties agree protect information covered by the agreement. When an outside organization requests or provides an NDA please contact an OTL staff member. We will ensure the terms of the agreement are appropriate and acquire signatures from the necessary institutional representative.
Research materials that are not available for purchase from suppliers are typically exchanged between scientists using Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs). OTL has implemented procedural improvements to expedite MTAs. Please submit any requests for material transfers to
mta@coh.org and a staff member will guide you through the process to obtain a suitable MTA.
OTL provides support for the formalization of effective collaborations between City of Hope staff and outside institutions and industry. Please contact an OTL staff member to initiate discussions toward a research collaboration.
Intellectual property can be licensed to Industry. A license may cover patented technology, patent pending technology, copyright, or unpatented research tools. City of Hope shares a portion of licensing revenues with all COH staff members involved. Please contact OTL to discuss possible licensing opportunities. An exclusive license limits the use of the invention to a single group or entity, while a nonexclusive license allows for use by multiple concerns.
