Southern California Islet ConsortiumThe Southern California Islet Consortium (SC-IC) is the effort of academic and transplant institutions in the Southern California region to merge and coordinate resources. This website provides up-to-date information to consortium investigators, patients, and the community on SC-IC projects, clinical trials, and activities.

The mission of the SC-IC is to address the problems currently facing islet transplantation and catalyze advancements in the field by maximizing the utility of the vast resources available in Southern California.

The SC-IC is based at the Leslie and Susan Gonda (Goldschmied) Diabetes and Genetics Research Center at City of Hope.  Other partner institutions include:

  • Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
  • Harbor-UCLA Medical Center
  • Loma Linda University Medical Center
  • The Whittier Institute for Diabetes/Scripps Green Center for Organ and Cell Transplantation
