Joe DeAngelo serves as chief executive officer for HD Supply. As the leader of HD Supply, he is responsible for guiding the company’s initiatives in the industrial distribution market to serve builders, contractors, government entities, industrial businesses and maintenance professionals.
Joe joined The Home Depot in April 2004 as senior vice president of the company’s Pro Business and Tool Rental. He previously served as executive vice president of Stanley Works, where he was responsible for its tools group and corporate-wide functions, including marketing, technology, operations and distribution. While there, he led the 2003 turnaround of the business, delivering asset efficiencies and productivity that drove a 100 percent increase in share price.
Prior to Stanley Works, Joe served in a variety of executive roles at General Electric. As president and CEO of GE Capital Transport International Pool and Modular Space, his team delivered a business transformation that doubled net income. As COO of GE Appliances, he played a key role in establishing market and service leadership.
Joe also held multiple operating leadership positions in GE Electrical Distribution and Control, GE Plastics, GE Power Generation and GE Aerospace, in addition to participation on GE’s Corporate Audit Staff. Prior to joining GE, he held finance and operating positions at Georgia Pacific and CL Marvin, PLC. Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from the State University of New York at Albany.
