There is no perfect formula for writing an email to ask people for donations. The most important thing is to make it personal. People who know and love you will want to hear your voice shine through.
You know your closest friends and family better than anyone else, so don’t feel like you have to stick to a predefined formula. If a one-line message will work best, go ahead and do that. If a longer message is best, spend a little time writing.
Either way, make sure you include a clear, direct request for support and a link to your fundraising page in your message!
