Angelique L. Richard, Ph.D., R.N.

Angelique L. Richard, Ph.D., R.N., is the chief operating officer of City of Hope National Medical Center, City of Hope Los Angeles, City of Hope Orange County and City of Hope’s Southern California clinical network.
A nationally recognized leader in health care operations and nursing, Dr. Richard joined City of Hope to foster connectivity, alignment and innovation in operations across City of Hope’s Southern California cancer centers and clinical network. She is renowned for her ability to develop and implement strategies to promote excellence in quality and safety, improve patient experience, enhance employee engagement, improve care delivery and drive growth. She will collaborate with City of Hope leadership, faculty and staff so that City of Hope can continue to deliver excellent patient care and superior outcomes.
Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Richard served on the nurse executive advisory council of The Joint Commission, the accrediting and certification body for more than 22,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. She was on health care improvement company Vizient’s advisory board for a network of chief nursing officers. Dr. Richard was also invited to participate in the White House Summit on Sustainability in Health Care and the Cancer Moonshot initiative.
