Annie Tang, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor of breast surgery at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where she provides innovative surgical care for women diagnosed with breast cancer. Drawn to the field of breast oncology by her passion for women’s health, Dr. Tang takes a personalized approach to cancer care and builds strong doctor-patient relationships.
After earning her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Dr. Tang completed a general surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), East Bay, where she was recognized as Researcher of the Year. She then completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the UCSF.
Dr. Tang is an advocate for greater health equity, having conducted research into breast cancer disparities and contributed to programs helping underserved communities and uninsured patients. A member of multiple professional organizations, including the Academic College of Surgeons, she’s published more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in journals, including JAMA and the Annals of Surgical Oncology.
