Employee Resource Groups
Our City of Hope employee resource groups spring up organically as groups of people sharing a common identity, interest or goal. These groups promote the full participation of all members of the diverse City of Hope community.
By sponsoring blood drives, planning fundraisers, developing educational events and hosting other activities, employee resource groups provide many opportunities for personal involvement and professional development. They include:

Asian-Pacific Community
APC is a group of City of Hope members from Asia, of Asian descent, or simply interested in Asian cultures and people. While our belief in City of Hope’s mission may have brought us together, our love for Asian heritage will bring us even closer, unite us further, and empower our members to achieve the mission of City of Hope.

Connecting People of African Descent for Hope
The CPAD vision is to create an inclusive community that connects the needs and interests of people of African descent at City of Hope. Our mission is to leverage the collective experiences of our members to understand motivations and concerns that may be unique to our community and support City of Hope’s efforts in the regions it serves.

Hands of Hope
The mission of Hands of Hope is to serve patients and employees who need physical or spiritual support. We work with a broad base of committed co-workers and community members through intercessory prayers and a support base for patient-related activities and a helping hand to colleagues while adhering to the HIPAA law.

Indigenous People Alliance
Indigenous Peoples Alliance helps bring together people at City of Hope who identify as American Indian (Native American), Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Canadian First Nation or any other indigenous community outside of the United States. Importantly, this group will recognize the Indigenous Peoples of Southern California and will engage with the local Native American tribes, nations and communities to promote health and education.

International Students and Scholars Association
ISSA fosters education, development and engagement of all international students and scholars at City of Hope. We also provide advocacy and support regarding specific global community needs. ISSA also supports an environment conducive to international education and intercultural awareness via educational, social and cross-cultural programs.

Latinos for Hope
Latinos for Hope was established to support City of Hope’s mission of transforming the future of health and bridging gaps in health care. The group organizes and sponsors events that engage City of Hope staff, patients and partners to support the communities we serve and celebrate Hispanic/Latino heritage and culture. Latinos for Hope is open to all who are interested in promoting internal and external awareness of City of Hope’s mission and values.

Pride in the City
Pride in the City promotes a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ patients, families and employees through education, cultural awareness and networking. We provide a forum for networking opportunities and informal mentorship to enhance members’ professional development and effectiveness at City of Hope.

Veterans for Hope
Veterans For Hope's vision is to unite employees with military service backgrounds to strengthen City of Hope’s ties to the veteran community. Its members will be a resource for one another, for patients and the larger community, keeping City of Hope connected to the people it serves. Veterans and those who support them come from all cultures and backgrounds, but we are united by our commitment to serving the common good.

Women's Professional Network
WPN provides opportunities to our employees to develop professionally and build relationships. WPN encourages and empowers women to achieve their optimal potential by creating an inclusive place for dialogue and collaboration and providing professional and health education and support to people of all backgrounds interested in women’s professional and personal development.

Young Professional Network
YPN aims to provide opportunities for young professionals at City of Hope to meet, network, and gain exposure to the greater institution. It also helps support professional development opportunities and creates opportunities to contribute to the future success of City of Hope.
