Working Space

The main campus of City of Hope is pleasantly situated on over 100 acres in the city of Duarte, just northeast of Los Angeles. Here you’ll find a vast network of services all devoted to providing the exceptional and compassionate care that City of Hope is known for.

Helford Clinical Research Hospital, the center of this network, provides inpatient care which combines the latest in medical research and clinical trials with a holistic, patient-centered approach to care to meet the full range of needs of our patients and families.

Beckman Research Institute is our state-of-the-art research facility. The pioneering work done in our research labs is making breakthroughs in a number of areas, and the integrated nature of our campus means that these new discoveries are able to move quickly from our labs to clinical trials and patient treatment, from bench to bedside, with a speed unsurpassed in our field.

Our campus includes every service necessary to see to your health and wellbeing. Our Ambulatory Care Clinic and Transfusion Medicine Center, offer outpatient care and surgery services. They are well complemented by our Women’s Health Center, Family Resource Center, and our Graduate School of Biological Sciences.

Apart from our medical buildings, the City of Hope campus offers attractive grounds to explore and relax in. Our beautifully landscaped Rose Garden named for its over 2,000 roses, provides a place of peace and magnificence that nourishes the spirit. Our Japanese Garden, with its koi fish pond and turtle habitat, is a reminder of the beauty, strength, and resilience of nature, and its gentle waterfall and wooden bridge provide a place of tranquility. Guests can also find refuge and comfort in our House of Hope and Meditation Center, or in the on-site housing available in Judy & Bernard Briskin Hope Village. Basketball and volleyball courts are also on campus, providing an opportunity to exercise the body as well as the spirit.

Remote clinics

While our main campus is located in Duarte, the City of Hope community extends far beyond through the services offered by our thirteen remote clinic locations. Many of these are within easy travel distance of our main campus, but we also maintain clinic locations in Simi Valley, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valley to the north and west, and Corona to the east, to be able to reach farther out into our surrounding communities.
