The Clinical Investigation Training Program is committed to addressing the critical need for formal training and advancement in clinical research, as well as increasing the quantity, and more important, quality of well trained clinical investigators. The ultimate goal is to provide clinical research education, guided by a patient-centered philosophy, which will have a significant impact on cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
City of Hope's Clinical Investigation Training Program is dedicated to a core group of objectives. Among these are:
  • Provide high-quality, multidisciplinary services to our scholars
  • Address the critical need for formal training and advancement in clinical investigation, as well as increase the quantity and, more important, quality of well-trained clinical investigators
  • Facilitate, through intensive mentoring, the transition from scholar to independent clinical investigator
  • Bring City of Hope scientists and clinicians closer together to facilitate the bench-to-bedside continuum
Canvas is City of Hope’s education software platform, or Learning Management System (LMS), powered by Instructure. This web-based course management platform has features that include a robust interface, an intelligent course calendar, course notifications, easy online submission for assignments, and easy-to-use communication tools. It also features a simple dashboard that provides a comprehensive overview of all your classes, and mobile apps for both Android and iOS.
Canvas can be used to enrich face to face or online instruction and enhance the City of Hope educational experience by providing high-quality instruction and scholar achievement.
