Community Science Festival

City of Hope's Beckman Research Institute will hold its third annual Community Science Festival on September 16, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.  The event will take place at the City of Hope main campus in Duarte, CA. It will be an open house, showcasing City of Hope research and providing hands-on science activities for kids of all ages.

Saturday Science Days

Join us at City of Hope for FREE monthly Saturday Science Days. Each month we will explore a new science topic, each session filled with informative lessons, fun hands- on activities and interactions with City of Hope staff and scientists. The 2017-2018 school year Saturday Science Days will begin in October.

October's Saturday Science Day will be "Spooky Science" and will take place on October 21st.
Registration for this event will open Monday, October 2nd at 9 a.m. Check back soon for our full school year Saturday Science Days calendar.

Who:

  • Students ages 8 to 13

When:

  • Morning Session: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Afternoon Session: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.


Each session can accommodate 20 to 30 students. If a day is full and you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please email [email protected] with the student's name/s, and age/s, city of residence and preferred session (morning, afternoon or either).

Registration for each month will open on the first of that month at 9am at https://saturdaysciencedayscoh.eventbrite.com

Each student attending needs a ticket. Parents who wish to observe do not need a ticket. However, parents are NOT able to participate in the activities.

NOTE: You do not need to bring your printed ticket to the event.
