Community Science Festival

City of Hope's Beckman Research Institute will hold its third annual Community Science Festival on September 16, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.  The event will take place at the City of Hope main campus in Duarte, CA. It will be an open house, showcasing City of Hope research and providing hands-on science activities for kids of all ages.




















Saturday Science Days

Join us at City of Hope for FREE monthly Saturday Science Days. Each month we will explore a new science topic, each session filled with informative lessons, fun hands- on activities and interactions with City of Hope staff and scientists. The 2017-2018 school year Saturday Science Days will run from October through May.


  • Students ages 8 to 13


  • Morning Session: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Afternoon Session: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Each session can accommodate 20 to 30 students. If a day is full and you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please email [email protected] with the student's name/s, and age/s, city of residence and preferred session (morning, afternoon or either).

Each student attending needs a ticket. Parents who wish to observe do not need a ticket. However, parents are NOT able to participate in the activities.

NOTE: You do not need to bring your printed ticket to the event.
