Laura E. Crocitto has been researching everything about prostate cancer, especially its prevention and early detection, for more than 15 years. She has received numerous grants, authored dozens of papers and led some 15 clinical trials aimed at improving treatment.
Dr. Crocitto literally wrote the book for City of Hope prostate cancer patients undergoing robot-assisted prostate removal, and she runs regular educational sessions for men who plan to have that procedure.A member of the City of Hope team since 1999, Dr. Crocitto earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California and completed her residency at Los Angeles County/ University of Southern California Medical Center. She has acted as either principal investigator or co-investigator in 15 clinical trials on bladder and prostate cancer issues and treatments. Her research and trials have generated 28 publications as either lead or co-author and 20 lectures/presentations on the findings.
