- Implement guideline-recommended strategies to accurately evaluate patients presenting with acute COPD exacerbations
- Outline appropriate treatment strategies for the long-term management of patients with COPD utilizing evidence of long-term safety of available pharmacologic options
- Identify patient-specific factors that influence the ability to adhere to COPD treatment regimens
- Identify nonpharmacologic strategies for reducing the risk of exacerbations and improving overall patient QOL
