International Genitourinary Oncology Congress
Global oncology refers to the study of trends in treatment utilization around the world. There are huge variations in treatment, and understanding these disparities may help us better understand how to serve our patient populations locally that are underserved Costs involving the oncologic approach - from the diagnosis until the more recent drugs - are rising considerably affecting less favored health systems globally or even, in a same country contributing to an increase in a pre-existent disparity. This ultimately will affect the patient. Particularly in the genitourinary oncology field this trend can be very much present. With a better understanding from global oncologists, this event can foment an international collaboration in this way.
