Well known among colleagues and patients for her surgical skills and compassion, Dawn Hills, M.D., returned to City of Hope in 2008 after 20 years in private practice. Having recently transitioned from her surgical practice here at City of Hope, she currently serves as director of the newly created Breast Cancer Survivorship Program at our South Pasadena facility.

Dr. Hills earned her medical doctorate at the University of Louisville Medical School and continued her training with a surgical internship at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center and surgical residencies at California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles and Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. She completed a surgical oncology fellowship at City of Hope with a special interest in breast cancer surgery.

Dr. Hills received a “Telly” award for “An Ounce of Prevention”, a video guide to breast self-examination. She has been repeatedly named a “Top Doc” for surgical breast oncology by Pasadena Magazine.
