Mihaela Cristea, M.D., is constantly searching for the newest and best drugs to treat ovarian cancer and other women’s cancers, while improving palliative care to boost patients’ quality of life throughout treatment. She directs the Gynecologic Oncology Peritoneal Division of City of Hope’s Department of Medical Oncology.
A native of Romania, Dr. Cristea received her medical degree from Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania. She continued her training with a residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ and a medical oncology fellowship at University of Florida-Health Science Center in Jacksonville, FL
