Philip L. Chatham, M.D. joins City of Hope after nearly four decades of quality patient care in the Granada Hills, California, community. As a hematologist/oncologist, he is excited about the “almost daily new drugs coming to clinical trial,” especially in the growing field of immunology.

Educated in India, Dr. Chatham continued his medical training in the U.S., interning at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and served residencies at New York’s Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and the VA’s Harbor Healthcare System. He completed a hematology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a fellowship in oncology at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center.
 
In addition to his many years in private practice, Dr. Chatham served on staff at Providence Holy Cross and Henry Mayo Newhall medical centers in the North Valley. He’s active in the community, serving as a sponsor for the Relay of Life for the American Cancer Society of Santa Clarita Valley.
