Suzy Melkonian, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medical Oncology & Therapeutics Research at City of Hope. Dr. Melkonian joined City of Hope from UCLA, at the affiliated hospital of West Los Angeles Veterans Administration, where she served as the director of the Cancer Center and chairman of the Cancer Committee.

Dr. Melkonian received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. Following medical school, she completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at UCLA-Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar, California. Dr. Melkonian completed her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the UCLA/San Fernando Valley/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Program.

Dr. Melkonian is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, the American Society of Hematologists, and Physicians for Social Responsibility.
